I am interested in the field of study of Organizational Behavior. In the past， I have had the experience of working in settings where the people and the corporate cultures of the companies were all different. I have found that there is a great difference in the both the behaviors of people and of their organizations， depending on whether they are state-owned enterprises (SOEs)， large multinational firms， or small to medium sized foreign enterprises. One simple example is that of the ability of an employee to act independently without direct instructions from his or her boss. In many Chinese organizations， acting without direct instructions is considered a form of disrespect towards the supervisor， who is generally offended by such behavior. In my experience and research， such organizations tend to have low operating efficiency with the employees losing their innate ability to take the initiative.
In contrast， foreign enterprises tend to welcome employees who have the ability to make decisions on their own， though the extent to which this is true depends on whether the supervisor is a local Chinese or an expatriate. These organizat

My research proposal gained approval from the Institutional Care and Use Committee at URI and at the Roger William Park and Zoo where the three species of non-human primates (Gibbons, Sakis, and Lemurs) included in my study are kept. In addition to writing a successful research proposal, I also wrote and received a small funds grant from the University of Rhode Island in order to conduct my research. By being intimately involved in every aspect of research, from proposal and grant writing to data collection and analysis, I have learned what it takes to be a researcher, but more than that, I have learned how fulfilling and interesting research can be.
In the spring of 2005, I will be presenting my results at a poster presentation at the University of Rhode Island, and am planning to eventually publish my findings. Not only has this experience shown me that I am capable of excelling in conducting research, but it has also allowed me to develop a love for the hands on learning that is so crucial to successful research. In my final semester at URI, I will be participating in an ongoing research project concerning brain function and attention span under the direction of Dr. Dominic Valentino, a professor in the psychology department at URI. This project will undoubtedly further advance my academic skills and reinforce my passion for research.
Physical anthropology is more than just my primary area of education; it has also become my hobby and lifestyle. The questions posed and answered via the study of physical anthropology have fascinated me for a very long time and have stimulated me to ask and seek to answer further questions. Economics attempts to understand and address many of the world’s most serious problems. I would like to enhance my knowledge of the economic and social principles of global sustainable development, such as the divergence between rich and poor countries and how this links with the theories of growth so that I can help to alleviate the effects of these types of economic problems.
I have enjoyed the macroeconomic side of the course and I am looking forward to learning more about globalisation after reading The Undercover Economist by Harford as he argues that the benefits of globalisation outweigh the disadvantages, such as the “Race to the Bottom”. Furthermore, the article Globalisation Shakes the World by Schifferes brought context to Harford’s views by allowing me to understand the contrasting effects of globalisation on Bangalore and Michigan. In general I enjoy keeping up with current economic affairs and I am intrigued by the future effects of the recent migration of refugees from Syria into Europe and I am keen to understand whether this will be of benefit or burden to European economies.
I enjoy taking part in voluntary work such as my work experience in Uganda in August 2014. The visit highlighted the countries many issues such as famine, poor infrastructure and the vast inequality between developed countries and developing countries. This led me to read The Bottom Billion by Collier which enabled me to gain a better understanding of the positions of the countries at the bottom of the global economic system by explaining the four economic traps. This suggested that Uganda is a failing economy because it is landlocked by bad neighbours, as well as recently being stuck in the conflict trap, from which it has now escaped but is still at high risk of falling back into due to its low income and slow growth. The Bottom Billion also analyses the effectiveness of global aid. This had lead me to research about how Britain’s overseas budget is spent and how the UN aims to deal with global poverty. I found the UN’s 17 new goals regarding sustainable development and economic policy very ambitious particularly ending poverty and hunger globally and providing quality education for all by 2030.
In March 20_ I completed a Future Learn course about how genes influence cancer development. I found this very beneficial as it built on my knowledge of genetics and how this has been used to produce technological advances that may eventually cure cancer. For this reason I am currently doing another online course about wealth and income inequality with the Open University. As an academic scholar I thrive on opportunities for independent research and work, and these courses have allowed me to achieve these aims.
The subjects I have taken through to A Level have taught me valuable skills; Mathematics has developed my problem solving and data analysis skills and studying Biology and Chemistry has allowed me to think critically and improve my investigative skills. I am taking part in the Biology Olympiad competition which utilises knowledge gained from inside the A level course to answer questions outside of the course curriculum.
I enjoy the challenge that leadership brings whether in the Community Service unit visiting a local school or in my role as a School Prefect and House captain which has meant I have learnt the importance of communication, teamwork and commitment. Furthermore, I have chosen to become an academic mentor which includes tutoring younger students. Whilst maintaining a strong academic record I also participate in School hockey and netball teams and I have decided to take part in the Young Enterprise scheme this year to improve my understanding of the business world.

一、學(xué)生優(yōu)惠

學(xué)校會(huì)強(qiáng)制要求學(xué)生購(gòu)買(mǎi)醫(yī)療 保險(xiǎn) 的項(xiàng)目，加入公共的醫(yī)療體系，以學(xué)生的身份加入，要花的錢(qián)會(huì)比本國(guó)的居民還要少一些，而享受的福利確是一樣的，而且流程還會(huì)更簡(jiǎn)單一些。
如果本人不了解操作流程的話(huà)，入學(xué)的時(shí)候可以直接通過(guò)學(xué)校購(gòu)買(mǎi)，這樣不需要自己進(jìn)行選擇，只要每年按時(shí)繳費(fèi)就可以了，后續(xù)的報(bào)銷(xiāo)也可以通過(guò)學(xué)校進(jìn)行，非常的方便。

二、學(xué)校類(lèi)型
國(guó)外高校有公立和私立，也有專(zhuān)科院校、本科院校，有3年制，4年制。高考分?jǐn)?shù)低的可以出國(guó)讀專(zhuān)科，然后再升本科。不過(guò)國(guó)外專(zhuān)業(yè)院校教育質(zhì)量良莠不齊，國(guó)內(nèi)網(wǎng)上的一些數(shù)據(jù)也難辨真假，所以高考成績(jī)不高的不建議選擇出國(guó)讀專(zhuān)科。建議通過(guò)中外合作辦學(xué)院校留學(xué)項(xiàng)目出國(guó)讀本科。
三、競(jìng)爭(zhēng)程度
高考后出國(guó)留學(xué)的人數(shù)比較多，而大家主要集中在國(guó)外排名比較高的院校，比如澳洲八大知名院校、英國(guó)帝國(guó)理工、加拿大多倫多大學(xué)，申請(qǐng)人數(shù)多了，競(jìng)爭(zhēng)就大了，被錄取機(jī)率就降低了。建議學(xué)生把目光放在其他非熱門(mén)院校上。
四、地理位置
一定要提前了解目標(biāo)大學(xué)在國(guó)外的地理位置，因?yàn)榈乩砦恢脤?duì)學(xué)費(fèi)、生活費(fèi)用都有影響，一般偏離政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)中心的城市，學(xué)費(fèi)和消費(fèi)會(huì)低一些。當(dāng)然也要考慮氣候變化，以便做好出國(guó)前準(zhǔn)備。
五、語(yǔ)言成績(jī)
語(yǔ)言是出國(guó)留學(xué)的基本條件，出國(guó)留學(xué)一定要有語(yǔ)言成績(jī)的，并且要達(dá)到各國(guó)留學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，比如雅思6.5分，托福90分以上，韓語(yǔ)3級(jí)以上，日語(yǔ)N3級(jí)。如果沒(méi)有語(yǔ)言成績(jī)，需要在國(guó)內(nèi)讀留學(xué)預(yù)科，獲得出國(guó)讀語(yǔ)學(xué)院。雖然有兩種選擇，但還是建議大家在國(guó)內(nèi)讀留學(xué)預(yù)科，因?yàn)閲?guó)內(nèi)預(yù)科采用的是雙語(yǔ)過(guò)渡式教學(xué)，能讓零基礎(chǔ)、基礎(chǔ)差學(xué)生提升更快。而國(guó)外語(yǔ)學(xué)院都是全外語(yǔ)教學(xué)，學(xué)生很難適應(yīng)，學(xué)習(xí)效率低，不能很快升到本科讀專(zhuān)業(yè)課程。

Currently, I am a junior student in International College of Hubei Normal University majoring in Accounting. Thus, I have obtained great knowledge about business for the past three years. To be honesty, I am an average student but I have diligent and strong confident heart. I believe that a good attitude can change bad situation. So I am always keeping a positive attitude on my life. I never ever give up any chance of promoting my study. During my three years in Hubei Normal University，I never fail a class and always do my best for assignment. However，in my mind, social activity is as the same important as class study. In my spare time, I took part in student union and took charge of minister in arts department. Our well-organized activities attracted many students to practice themselves. Last summer, I joined the Work and Travel Programme to be a staff in an American company for three months. I made good use of that chance to improve my oral English and tasted western culture. I think I can understand and adapt to a foreign culture in a short period.
I firmly believe that anyone could acquire success by their right way and fighting. This is one of the reasons why I want to go abroad. What’s more, I want to taste and accept some western education. I hope that I can learn more differences between Chinese and British university education and widen my horizon. Furthermore，as we know, UK is a very modern country. It owns the most advanced education system and top universities in the world. And graceful school environments deeply attract me. By the way, if I can learn in your university I would cherish and appreciate this chance. In the future, I also mean to apply Master’s Degree in UK. But after that, I will go back to my country and look for a job related to business.
