The Cover Letter (CL) is the document that accompanies your CV when youare applying for a job. For academic purposes, the document used istypically called statement of purpose, and is laid out after somewhatdifferent rules. The CL is short (200-250 words), with a quite rigidstructure and has the layout of a letter. Its goal is to introduce theCV, to bring to attention aspects of your activity that can help yourapplication and are not listed or not presented in the proper light inthe CV. In short, its goal is to answer the recruiter's question: "Whyshould I hire this person?".
Layout. The layout is that of a formal business letter: your addressand contact details come under your name, in the upper right corner ofthe page. Underneath, aligned left, write the name, function,organisation and address of the person you are writing to. It is a lotbetter to know the name of the person who is going to read your letter.You should address the letter directly to him or her. In the case youdo not know the name, an email, a little digging in the net or a phonecall should help you get that name, in case it is not mentioned in theofficial announcement. Under the receiver's address, but aligned right,write the date of the day when you are writing the letter. You shouldspell the name of the month and use four digits for the year. You canput in front of the date the location, like Sofia, 2nd December 2000.
If you do know the name of the addressee, start with Dear Mr (Mister),Ms (Miss), Mrs (Mistress), Dr (Doctor), without the full stop that youmight expect to follow the abbreviation, and the surname of theaddressee, followed by comma (Dear Dr Smith,). Structure. Ideally, a cover letter has no more than four paragraphs.The goal of the first is to specify what you are applying for and howdid you find out about that opportunity. The last one outlines youravailability for an interview, suggesting in this way a concretefollow-up for your application.
The second paragraph should list your skills and qualifications thatmake you the right person for the position you are applying for. Readcarefully the announcement, identify the requirements and see how yourskills match those required. Do not simply state you have them, proveit. Ideally, you should start from your experience and show how youhave developed those qualifications by doing what you have beendoing/learning. Same as in the case of your CV, the result shouldportrait you as an independent, creative person that can takeinitiative and deal with responsibilities, apart from the specificskills needed for the job. In short, the second paragraph should showwhy you are good for the job.
The third should point out why you want it. You should outline yourinterest for the skills you are going to learn if you get the job. Theimpression left should be that you can make a genuine contribution tothe company's operations, while simultaneously deriving satisfactionfrom your work.
After the fourth paragraph leave a blank space, same as you should doin the beginning, after the salutation (Dear). Write the properclosing, as described above and your name. Do not forget to leave ablank space between the closing and your name and to sign the letter inthat space.
Enclosure. It is customary for formal letters to mention whether youhave enclosed any documents accompanying the letter. Simply mentionenclosure, or write curriculum vitae under the heading enclosure at theend of the letter.

J’ai 21 ans et je suis né à wuzhou. J’ai fait 2ans d'études(Bac+2) d’anglais à l’intitude ouvert de l’universite des etudes etrangères du Guangdong en juin 2004. Je souhaite vivement d’étudier - Langues Etrangères Appliqués en France. Mes parents qui ont des bon salaires vont payer mes études. Le plus important est qu’ils soutiennent mon projet d’études en France et qu’ils pensent capables de m’envoyer dans un pays développé comme la France pour que je puisse continuer mes études.
Pendant mes études universitaires, j’avais non seulement eu des cours de < La comprehension orale en anglais>; <L’anglais synthetique et La grammaire en anglaise;>, mais aussi des cours morales telles que <l’elements de droit et education morale>; <la philosophie marxiste>; Après mes études, je faisais mes etudes du francais,.Pendant presque six mois d’etude, j ‘a(chǎn)i appris le francais. j’aviais passe le TEF en janvier 2005. Apres j’ai prix le TEF,je continue apprendre le francais justque maintenant.
Tout d’abord j’aime la langue. Quand j’etais au lycee,j’avais envie d’apprendre le francais.le francais est aujourd’hui non seulement la langue officielle de la France mais aussi la langue maternelle de 70 million de francophone dans le monde.on sais par la,le francais est une langue important .mais quand on apprend la langue,on apprend non seulement la grammaire du francais mais aussi la civilisation francaise et la culture francaise.je veux experimenter personnellement la vie en france,pour mieux connaitre la civilisation francaise et la culture francaise.Ensuite,l’ environnement de la langue est aussi importante.La spécialité - Langues Etrangères Appliqués(assistant export trilingue) en France est très avancée et connue dans le monde,et L’éducation fran?0?4aise est professionnelle et mondrne.je pense que le systèmen de l’education francaise est milleur pour moi ! La fusion de la idéologie occidentale et orientale influterai ma vie de la carriere future prositif. La diplome franciase est puls autoritaire que la chine.il vont mieur pour ma carrier furture.D’ailleurs, les études en France m’aideront à martriser une autre langue internationale autre que l’anglais.il aguemente ma concurrance .Ce sont les raisons pour lesquelles je voudrais étudier en France.
Je voudrais bien étudier dans l’ universite catholique de l’ouest a angers qui est cré en 1847. Il est très connu dans plusieurs domaines, tels que la littérature, la linguistique, les sciences humaines. En première année de mes études en France, je voudrais apprendre la language francaise dans le Centre International D’Etudes Francaises de l’Université Catholique de l’Ouest à Angers,et en même temps je vais étudier par moi-même des vocabulaires pour la préparation de deuxième année. Et en deuxième année, je voudrais entrer dans le départment des langues étrangères appliqués. je compterai étudier ma spécialité assistant export trilingue dans l’Université Catholique de l’Ouest (U.C.O) Angers。Cette année,j’apprendrai les cours incluere l’anglais,le chinois ou l’ Espagnol,l’economie,le Droit et Management,l’Administration commerciale,le Marketing et Logistique de l’exportation,la Communication et comportement professionnel,le Projet tutoré et la stage. J’essayerai d’obtenir le diplome Lience dans un ou deux ans. Cette spécialité a le but de former les étudiants qui veux s’appliquer a l’ Assistant(e) commercial(e) import/export, l’ Attaché(e) de direction commerciale import/export, le Secrétaire de direction commerciale,l’Agent d’administration des ventes import/export,l'evolution vers des postes de responsable export ou responsable de zones géographiques et pourront d’une part avoir suffisamment de connaissances linguistiques et comerciale, et d’autre part avoir une capacité suffisante de management. Elle donne aux étudiants plus d’opportunités de travailler dans le domaine de commerce et de gestion.
